From the Heart of Siberia to Homes Across America
🐾 Our Story
Our breeding journey began in 1997 in Khabarovsk, Russia, when I brought home a Siberian kitten named Chara-Bonny of Astera as a gift for my mother. That kitten became the foundation of our cattery and is now found in the pedigrees of many of our lines.
In 2004, we relocated to Texas and continued our breeding program in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Over the years, our Siberians have brought warmth and companionship to families across the U.S., and we are proud to continue raising these remarkable cats under the name Astera Siberians.

A Rare Texas Snow Day — February 2011
Our Texas-born Siberians never forget where they come from. Deep in their hearts lives the memory of a land where winters are long and snow is part of everyday life. On this rare February morning, a blanket of snow transformed our yard, and our cats greeted it like an old friend — leaping, rolling, and lingering outside long after their paws were cold. For most, it’s only once or twice in a lifetime that they see snow here in Texas, but when it comes, they seem to know it’s a part of who they are. This video from 2011 captures that joy and the timeless spirit of our old Astera lines.

Raising Siberian kittens is a family passion. My two children are deeply involved in the care and socialization of every litter. They’ve grown up alongside the cats and bring endless patience, gentleness, and joy to our daily routines.
🧒 Children and kittens grow up together in our home, forming deep bonds that benefit every kitten’s early development.
🌲Why Siberians?
I was raised in the Altai region of Siberia, where these cats were a natural part of life. Their gentle nature, intelligence, and stunning looks have always captivated me. Siberians are one of the few breeds known for their low allergen levels, making them a wonderful choice for many families with mild allergies.
🏅TICA Shows
We proudly register our cats with TICA and participate in TICA shows several times a year. These events help us ensure our breeding cats meet the highest breed standards — and it’s a joy to share our Siberians with the wider cat community.
Our children play a big role in socializing every kitten.
Participating in TICA shows helps us preserve and promote Siberian standard.
What started with a single Siberian kitten became a family passion.
